The entire 5K and 8 Mile courses are paved surfaces. Kids 1 Mile Fun Run will run 4 laps around the track. The 5K/8 Mile events are out-and-back courses. A map is provided below for the 5K and 8 Miler course. The 8 Mile and 5K begin on the track and run clockwise to the exit gate. Make a right up to the parking lot and turn left towards front of the high school. Make a right and run along the front of the high school and continue along the path until you reach a paved path (just before you reach Rt. 332) and make a right. Continue on the paved path until you reach the entrance to Tyler Drive (there will be a pedestrian crosswalk here)—at this point it is about 1.5 miles. Runners will make a right at this point, run across crosswalk, and head into the park along Tyler Drive. 5K runners will eventually make a right turn onto Quarry Lane, make another right follow the trail to the top of the trail that connects to a parking lot. Continue running straight until you hit the stop sign, where you will cross the crosswalk and continue along Green Lane that heads to the back of Newtown Middle School. Take the path to the end where you will then a make a left hand turn to head back to the track. Eight mile runners will stay on Tyler Drive until you reach the Causeway. Once you reach the causeway, make a left turn and go across it. After crossing the causeway, you make a right onto Mill Dairy Trail and continue until you reach a T-section. At this point, make a left onto Dairy Hill Trail and proceed up the hill until you reach White Pine Trail. Make a right onto White Pine Trail and continue on the path until you loop back around to the T. At this point, turn left onto Mill Dairy Trail and head back to the track! There will be a mile marker at each mile along with four water stations.

Water stations will be provided along the course beginning at the 1.5 point, at the causeway, and along Mill Dairy Road.

Course Marshals will be stationed at all turns along the course of the race to direct runners in the appropriate direction.
